As per the requirement of the Electrical Installation Regulations(2009), a registered person shall exercise general control over all electrical installation work being carried out, and no person may allow such work without such control. It is therefore imperative that an electrician should register with Department of Labour as a Registered Person. The requirements for registration as a registered person are given by the Electrical Installation Regulations and the Information Brochure.

According to this document an electrician can register as the following:

  • Single-phase Tester
  • Installation Electrician
