Course overview

This course will prepare the learner to complete his Electrical Trade Test successfully. The content of this course is fully aligned with the Trade Test and will provide the learner with the necessary skills to complete all the tasks as prescribed by Department of Labour.

Entry requirements

   - Basic theoretical knowledge (electrical)
   - On the job experience

Course duration

    Weekend option

A period of 7 weekends is required to prepare the learner.

   - Saturday (9:00 - 16:00)
   - Sunday (9:00 - 14:00)

    Full time option

A period of 4 weeks is required to prepare the candidate.

   - Monday to Thursday (9:00 - 17:00)
   - Friday (9:00 - 14:00)

    Should the assessment not follow directly after the course, a two week revision period
     will be provided.

Course outcome

    The learner will be fully prepared for the Electrical Trade Test.

Assessment

   - The assessment is done at the Trade Test Centre (INDLELA) in Olifantsfontein.
   - The learner must enrol for the assessment at INDLELA or at their local Department of Labour office.
   - Renkalec will provide guidance with the completion of the Assessment Application.
